The ACS Home and School Association partnered with the local Purple Dragon food co-op to stage an incredible farmer’s market outside the school. Parents volunteered to staff the outdoor market while kids brought reusable bags from home to “shop” for fruits and vegetables during school hours. Since all the food was paid for by the Home and School Association, the kids didn’t have to worry about bringing any money with them. They just got to enjoy making their choices from the great array of organic produce.
What a wonderful experience for our kids: taking on the responsibility of selecting their very own fresh, local, delicious fruits and vegetables!
